Woe Is Bernie

Bernie Sanders is fairly certain people only like Elizabeth Warren because she’s a woman, which poses a problem for him, a man.

On CNN’s Cuomo PrimeTime, host Chris Cuomo asked Sanders why he thinks Warren is catching up to and in some cases surpassing him in the polls, which set Sanders on a rant about the “problem” of Warren’s womanhood:

“Well, I think we are running against a lot of problems. I think that there are certain number of people who would like to see a woman elected, and I understand that,” Sanders said. “There are people who would like to see somebody who was younger, and I understand that also. There are a lot of factors out there.”

Ah yes, as we’ve seen countless times throughout our nation’s history, being a woman provides one with a significant advantage in presidential elections. But sure, go off Bernie.
