Tiffany Trump, the least complicit and most neglected of the Trump children, and mother Marla Maples were spotted Wednesday visiting a Manhattan-based doctor specializing in naturopathy. The Daily Mail reports that while it’s unclear who had the appointment, Maples is a longtime advocate of so-called natural health and wellness and even claims to have “lost 25 lbs after college through visualization.” Marianne Williamson is shaking.

Not sure exactly what naturopathy is? Same, honestly.

From Consumer Reports:

That approach to healthcare is based on the belief that the human body possesses “an inherent self-healing” ability, according to the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Naturopathic practitioners resist drugs and surgery, relying instead on giving patients lots of attention and personalized advice, and turning to a variety of “natural” or “holistic” treatments.

Those include approaches—such as changes in diet, exercise, and lifestyle—that medical doctors (M.D.s) and doctors of osteopathic medicine (D.O.s) also often embrace.

But critics say that many keystones of naturopathic care, such as homeopathy and intravenous vitamin treatment, haven’t been scientifically proved.

And as Vanity Fair pointed out, “Enemas seem to be a big part of [naturopathy],” which is fine if you’re about to have your colon examined, but have shown no scientific evidence of detoxifying your butthole or whatever. But hey, fuck the critics, right? Maples loves this shit, and it looks like Trump is happy enough to come along for the ride.

So did Tiffany Trump and Marla Maples schedule mother-daughter healing enemas? Who knows, but I’m sure that would be a lovely, bonding experience for the two of them.
