President Trump is a creature of habit. He doesn’t much deviate from his diet of fast food and well-done steaks, or from his four-hour sleep schedule. But perhaps his most famous habit is making his hair resemble a sparse yellow bird’s nest. It’s why news of his new hairstyle is simply shocking. Trump arrived at a Virginia church on Sunday with his hair slicked back flat, not unlike his terrible son Eric, a Gatsby-era villain, or, as my colleague Megan Reynolds noted, Jorah Mormont.

The new do was short lived, however. When Trump arrived in the United Kingdom to meet Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family on Monday morning, his hair was once again nested.
But perhaps he should stick to the slicked-back look. He should also stop resembling a carrot while he’s at it.
