If you reach Dante’s fifth circle of hell you will find a swamp and also the White House’s annual Christmas party. There were blood-red trees. There was a band dressed like toy soldiers playing Christmas songs. There was Ivanka Trump dressed as Lizzie McGuire. Newt and Calista Gingrich emerged from their cryochambers. Wrathful and sullen—let’s party!
