Trump had initially requested Daniels cough up $778,806 — half of which would be in sanctions. In his ruling, Otero said he found Harder’s $842 hourly rate reasonable but said the number of hours charged was highly excessive.

I get lawyers do a lot of schooling and they need to understand a LOT of stuff that us commoners can’t fathom. However, an hourly rate of $842 is reasonable? My hourly rate is roughly 2 percent of that. God damn.

Re: Gun deaths...The bullet point says 400K, the linked article says 40K. I don’t want to seem dismissive of the deaths of 40K people, but that is a far cry from 400K.
