Small Government John Kasich Wants to Start New Government Agency Promoting 'Judeo-Christian Values'

Politics

Ohio Governor John Kasich is still running for president, in his quiet way, promising to make government “smaller, less costly and more responsive to our needs.” He’d like to do that by opening a brand-new government agency devoted to promoting “core Judeo-Christian Western values” around the world. Somewhere, to someone, this sounds like a good idea.

Kasich said Tuesday in an interview with NBC that he wants to take this very good idea to four regions of the world: China, Iran, Russia, and the Middle East. This keeps getting better and I’m so glad he’s talking about it publicly in places everyone can see him:

“We need to beam messages around the world” about the freedoms Americans enjoy, Kasich said in an interview with NBC News Tuesday. “It means freedom, it means opportunity, it means respect for women, it means freedom to gather, it means so many things.”

Kasich is fervently anti-abortion; he’s against it in all cases except rape, incest and preservation of the woman’s life, but said he would sign a bill that would also make it illegal in the case of a fetus with Down Syndrome. He has pledged to “dismantle Washington” under his certain and eventual presidency, except the part that promotes Judeo-Christian values around the world.

Kasich is currently polling at three percent, but this is gonna be his moment.
