CBS This Morning now has audio from Omarosa Manigault Newman of what she says is a conversation between Trump campaign officials about the existence of and potential spin on an Apprentice tape in which Donald Trump uses the N-word. A development that will shock precisely no one and change absolutely nothing.
“I am trying to find at least what context it was used in to help us maybe try to figure out a way to spin it,” Katrina Pierson, former campaign spokesperson, reportedly says. As other campaign officials question whether or not Trump made the comment, Pierson says, according to CBS: “No, he said it. He is embarrassed by it.” (Trump’s response to all of this was predictable.)
Let us jump into a time machine, just for a moment, to a time when Omarosa’s only job was to lie to the entire country about everything she knew, and we knew, was true about the president:
