Prior to a town hall in which Trump offered surprising views on North Carolina’s bathroom law, Today’s Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie provided the Trump family with a lovely nest of positive reinforcement and lightly personal questions that Lauer himself described as “potpourri.” Melania Trump in particular was given the opportunity to boost her word count by a full 63.
“It’s unbelievable what is going on, and for so long, he is number one now for 10 months,” Melania said. “I never thought about it, I know his energy, I know how people love him, how they connect to him, and I said ‘if you will run, you will win.’”
“What’s the one habit you wish he’d give up?” Guthrie asked Melania.
“Let’s see. Re-tweeting!” Melania exclaimed, and oh, how the Trump family laughed.
This is one of the few things Melania Trump has said before, as though her adorably clueless husband was leaving the toilet seat up or eating too much bacon, rather than regularly and vigorously re-tweeting misogynist attacks and white supremacists, which he did again yesterday. What a goof!
