Maxine Waters Receives 2 More 'Suspicious Packages' Amid Bomb Scare

NewsPolitics

California Rep. Maxine Waters, one of the few Democrats who does not cater to Republican civility bullshit, has received two more suspicious packages, the Associated Press reports. The packages were similar to another package sent to her office with an explosive device on Wednesday, according to the report.

Authorities are investigating explosive devices sent to other Democrats as well, including philanthropist George Soros, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and former CIA director John Brennan. On Wednesday, CNN evacuated its offices after receiving an explosive device.

While Donald Trump has pledged to “find those responsible,” the targets are all people and organizations he routinely demonizes in speeches, rallies, and on Twitter.

Trump has called Waters “a seriously low-IQ person,” and after Waters called for civil disobedience and said that no, you should not let Trump’s cabinet members eat in peace, Trump accused her of calling for “harm to supporters” and threatened: “be careful what you wish for Max!”

As a result, in June, Waters had to cancel events due to death threats. Yet she refuses to be intimidated. She responded to the bomb scare by saying, “We have to keep doing what we’re doing in order to make this country right. And as the young people say, ‘I ain’t scared.’”
