Marianne Williamson does not believe in depression, but she does believe in redemption for men accused of being fucking creeps. The newest addition to the Williamson team is former Bernie Sanders adviser Robert Becker, who was accused of sexual harassment and assault by a subordinate who says he forced his tongue into her mouth at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

A staff member on Bernie Sanders’s 2016 presidential election campaign, who was 20 at the time, alleges that Becker said he wanted to have sex with her, forcibly kissed her, and made references to “riding his pole.” But according to Williamson, who is now his boss, nobody’s perfect:

“I believe in forgiveness. I believe in redemption,” Williamson told Politico on August 9. “I believe in people rising up after they’ve fallen down. I had not read anything or heard anything that made me feel this was a man who never deserved to work again.”

It is not difficult to believe that Williamson has not heard or read any of the accusations concerning Becker, as there seem to be a great many things Williamson has neither heard nor read.
