Omarosa Manigault Newman continues to be on one: days after releasing audio about Donald Trump reportedly using the N-word, she has released another secret recording of what she says is Trump daughter-in-law Lara Trump trying to “buy my silence.”

NBC has published the audio in which she is offered a role in Trump’s re-election campaign, allegedly recorded days after the White House unceremoniously fired her last December.

The audio is part of a claim she made in her tell-all, Unhinged, in which Manigault Newman alleges that the White House fired her without warning or incident, lied to the press about the circumstances of her departure, and then attempted to hire her on the campaign in order to keep her from going public about, one can guess, all the shit she is now releasing as part of her book tour. “Even if people are banished from Trumpworld, it’s usually only temporary. No one can ever leave for good,” Manigault Newman writes in her book.

In the recording,Trump references a New York Times article indicating that Manigault Newman “had been trying to raise ‘grave concerns’ about an issue that would ‘affect the president in a big way.’”

“It sounds a little like, obviously, that there are some things you’ve got in the back pocket to pull out,” Trump says in the recording. “Clearly, if you come on board the campaign, like, we can’t have, we got to—” she continues. Manigault Newman interjects, “Oh, God no.”

“Everything, everybody, positive, right?” Trump says.

Apparently not!

In a statement rife with empty empowerment and faux sisterhood language, Lara Trump says that Omarosa was “welcomed into the family as a friend and trusted confidant” and, with other women on the campaign tour, developed a “sisterhood bond that is unlike any I have experienced in my life.”

“Woman to woman, I shared a connection with Omarosa as a friend and a campaign sister, and I am absolutely shocked and saddened by her betrayal and violation on a deeply personal level,” she said. “I hope it was all worth it for you, Omarosa, because some things you just can’t put a price on.”

Except that, well, you can. According to the recording, Trump offered Omarosa $180,000 a year to campaign for Trump’s re-election bid in exchange for her positivity and, presumably, sisterhood.
