Just hours after Friday’s announcement that Fox News host Eric Bolling would be leaving the network, following several accusations of unsolicited sexting, Bolling’s son Chase was found dead in Boulder, Colorado of unknown causes. Yashar Ali, who first reported Eric Bolling’s alleged misconduct in April, initially broke the news. Incidentally, Eric Bolling is currently suing Ali for $50 million.

Bolling’s son Chase was a 19 year old student of economics at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Despite initial reports that the death was caused by suicide or drug overdose, Bolling says that there are no signs of self-harm at this time.

Mortal Dictata

I think it’s obvious to say don’t bring the trolls out of the greys.

There’s only IAmNotNumber7s pointed and tasteful response to this tragedy so far but already the Greys are full of burners screaming that the journalist is responsible or that this site will revel in it.

Also just verge on the side of caution. If a response looks suspicious just dismiss rather than respond to it. So remember if you get a response:

1) Check their profile image. A checkerboard is an easy first sign it’s a burner troll.

2) Check their comment history. Troll accounts will likely at most have a page of comments. If a general page comment seems tame but questionable chances are they’ve got more sordid ones already dismissed.

3) If you see them then flag them, preferably for harassment. If they reply to you flag them and then dismiss. Do not leave them hanging around for someother bot to drag out the greys.

But most importantly

4) NEVER RESPOND TO A TROLL ACCOUNT. All you do if you’re a ungreyed account is pull them out of the greys and that’s what they want.
