Would you watch Ivanka Trump go on a series of weird dates with young douchebags? Maybe not now, but what about in, say, the mid-2000s?
InStyle dug up some People magazine archives and discovered a 2007 interview with Trump in which the then-Apprentice star revealed that she could have been The Bachelorette.
In response to a question about whether she enjoys being on television, Trump said, “I’ve been offered tons of shows, [including] The Bachelorette. I’m flattered, but that in no way furthers my objective of being a great real estate developer.”
How was she to know that she would become first daughter instead? How were we to know! Time is cruel!
