After a catastrophically disgusting week even by 2019 standards, Representative Ilhan Omar is back in Minneapolis, where her hometown supporters were ready and waiting to receive her. As she passed through the airport doors, the crowd exploded in chants of “Welcome home, Ilhan!”
She looked genuinely touched, and quickly moved into the crowd to hug and thank the people who turned out. It was a nice way to cap an extremely dark week. She must be exhausted.
