Donald Trump: 'I Will Be So Good at the Military Your Head Will Spin'

Politics

On Thursday, presidential candidate and bag of flour Donald Trump spoke with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt about foreign policy—a subject about which Trump has negative knowledge.

In the clip posted above, Hewitt first asks Trump about Iranian Major General Qasim Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Forces of the Revolutionary Guard. Trump, using classic high school evasion techniques, said “The Kurds, by the way, have been horribly mistreated by us.”

“No, not the Kurds. The Quds,” Hewitt said.

“Oh, I thought you said the Kurds.”

“No, Quds.”

Anyway.

Then Hewitt said he’s looking for a commander-in-chief who knows the big names on the terrorism scene, like Hassan Nasrallah, Ayman al-Zawahiri and Abu Mohammad al-Julani. Does Trump know any of these names?

“No,” Trump said. “I’ll tell you honestly, I think by the time we get to office, they’ll all be changed. They’ll all be gone. I knew you were going to ask me things like this, and there’s no reason, because number one, I’ll find, I will hopefully find General Douglas MacArthur in the pack. I will find whoever it is that I’ll find, and we’ll, but they’re all changing, Hugh. Those are like history questions, do you know this one, do you know that one.”

Actually they’re not, since all these men are currently in power.

“I don’t believe in gotcha questions,” Hewitt said.

Trump concluded: “I will be so good at the military your head will spin.”

On Friday’s edition of Morning Joe, Trump was still cooling off.

“And by the way, when you say Quds vs. Kurds, I thought he said Kurds, this third-rate radio announcer that I did the show… It was like ‘gotcha, gotcha.’ Every question was, do I know this one and that one,” he said.

“By the way, I do think the Kurds, while we’re on it, I do think the Kurds are not being utilized properly and not being treated properly by us.”
