Donald Trump Congratulates Americans Freed From North Korea Prison on Great Ratings

Politics

Early Thursday morning, three Americans released from a North Korean prison arrived back in the United States. The president was waiting to welcome them.

“We would like to express our deep appreciation to the United States government, President Trump, Secretary Pompeo, and the people of the United States for bringing us home,” the three said in a statement, as reported by Reuters. “We thank God, and all our families and friends who prayed for us and for our return. God Bless America, the greatest nation in the world.”

Upon touching down at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, President Trump greeted the men and told reporters: “I think you probably broke the all-time-in-history television rating for three o’clock in the morning.”

Touching.
