Early Thursday morning, three Americans released from a North Korean prison arrived back in the United States. The president was waiting to welcome them.

ā€œWe would like to express our deep appreciation to the United States government, President Trump, Secretary Pompeo, and the people of the United States for bringing us home,ā€ the three said in a statement, as reported by Reuters. ā€œWe thank God, and all our families and friends who prayed for us and for our return. God Bless America, the greatest nation in the world.ā€

Upon touching down at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, President Trump greeted the men and told reporters: ā€œI think you probably broke the all-time-in-history television rating for three oā€™clock in the morning.ā€

Touching.
