Don Jr. Says Brett Kavanaugh Allegations Make Him Scared for His Sons

NewsPolitics

In an interview with DailyNewsTV, Donald Trump Jr. said he was frightened by Christine Blasey Ford’s allegation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her as a teenager, but not for the reasons they might frighten any decent person with an iota of empathy.

“I’ve got boys and I’ve got girls,” said Don Jr. “And when I see what’s going on right now it’s scary.” DailyMailTV asked Trump who he is the most scared for: his sons or his daughters. “I mean, right now I’d say my sons,” he replied. (Nope.)

He continued: “The other problem is that for the people that are real victims of these things. When it’s so obviously political in cases like this, it really diminishes the real claims.”

All of this squares nicely with the truly despicable Instagram post he shared two weeks ago mocking the allegations just one day before Ford went public.

During her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Ford said, quite plainly, that she is not involved in any kind of political conspiracy. “It is not my responsibility to determine whether Mr. Kavanaugh deserves to sit on the Supreme Court,” she said Thursday. “My responsibility is to tell the truth.”

This, clearly, is of little consequences to assholes like Don Jr.
