Congressional Intern Arrested for Allegedly Doxxing Republican Men After Christine Blasey Ford Hearing

NewsPolitics

This year’s crop of congressional interns are not fucking around: First, there was 21-year-old Caitlin Marriott, who screamed “Fuck you!” to Donald Trump at the White House in June. Now we have 27-year-old Jackson A. Cosko, an intern for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, who allegedly doxxed Sens. Lindsey Graham, Orrin Hatch, and Mike Lee during the Ford-Kavanaugh hearing last Thursday.

Turns out doxxing a public official is highly illegal, and he has been arrested by Capitol Hill police on charges of “making public restricted personal information, witness tampering, second-degree burglary, threatening interstate communications, unauthorized use of a government computer, identity theft and unlawful entry,” per NPR. Goddamn, dude.

Cosko published the cell phone numbers, addresses, and other personal information of the Senators on Wikipedia. “Senator Hatch and a number of other Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee were targeted after they questioned Judge Kavanaugh,” Hatch spokesperson Matt Whitlock confirmed to Gizmodo.

Ironically, Cosko was studying cybersecurity policy and compliance as a graduate student at George Washington University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Police told Politico that the investigation is ongoing “and additional charges may be forthcoming.”
