Carly Fiorina Gets Booked for The View, Tells Panelists to 'Man Up'

Politics

Carly Fiorina will appear on The View on Friday for an interview in which everyone’s faces will crack to reveal lizard flesh beneath.

Fiorina, who revealed the booking on Fox News this morning, already has some terse words for the panelists.

“None of these liberal women scare me,” she says. “If you want to debate me on policies…man up and debate me on them. But don’t sink to talking about my face.”

Fiorina is playing the face card in response to The View’s jokes about her facial expression after last week’s GOP debate. Fiorina answered CNBC’s job-interview question about each candidate’s greatest weakness by (comically!) acknowledging critique that she needs to smile more and proceeding to smile really hard.

In The View’s postmortem, Michelle Collins said Fiorina “looked demented.” Joy Behar added, “I wish it was a Halloween mask.”

Much like the debate itself, the convo failed to focus on the iss-yoos.

While announcing Fiorina’s appearance on Monday’s episode, Whoopi Goldberg defended the show, stating:

“Here’s the deal. Carly will be here on Friday. I do want to point out, Carly, last time you were here, we welcomed you to our table. We helped raise your profile, so you would be included in the sea of men. You weren’t worried about any kind of Republican backlash. Nobody was backlashing. We were respectful and gave you your due. So, just so we’re all clear, you have to know the difference between when somebody is coming for you, and when somebody is paying you a compliment, and when somebody is saying, ‘Here’s my observation.’ If you can get that together, maybe you can be President.”

This appearance will be great in the worst way.
