Alleged Sexual Predator Undeterred by Allegations of Sexual Misconduct Against Brett Kavanaugh

• Trump, the infamous alleged sexual assaulter, continues to stand by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who stands accused of attempting to rape Christine Blasey Ford in high school. “Judge Kavanaugh is one of the finest people that I’ve ever known,” he said. [HuffPost]
• Republican Lindsey Graham wants Democratic Dianne Feinstein, who received a letter from Ford in July that she claims to have withheld to protect Ford’s privacy, to release the letter. • All ten Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee seek to postpone the Thursday vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination in light of the allegations. [Reuters]

• Only two of Kavanaugh’s 65 female acquaintances who vouched for his behavior in high school in a letter released by Republicans continue to stand by him. [Politico]

• Alumni of Ford’s school, which include actress Julia Louis Dreyfuss, have signed a letter of support that calls the Kavanaugh allegations “all too consistent with stories we heard and lived while attending Holton.” [HuffPost]
• Mark Judge, the man who allegedly aided Kavanaugh during the attempted rape, had a very misogynistic yearbook quote: “Certain women should be struck regularly, like gongs.” [TPM]
• Attorney Cyrus Sanai, who publicly called out former Chief Judge Alex Kozinski for alleged sexual harassment, wrote in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee chairs that several federal court employees who “have important stories to tell about disgraced former Chief Judge Alex Kozinski, and his mentee, current United States Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. I know that there are people who wish to speak out but fear retaliation because I have been contacted by more than a half-dozen such persons since Judge Kozinski resigned in disgrace.” Sanai says he never received a response.
