All Mike Pence Wants Is a Kiss From Mother, New Book Reveals

There’s a new book out about Mike Pence, titled Piety & Power: Mike Pence and the Taking of the White House. And while it’s ostensibly about our vice president’s rise to power, the real “star” of the book is Mother—Karen Pence, whom the book’s author Tom LoBianco argues is the one who actually “rules the roost.”

While we unfortunately do not learn the origin story of Karen Pence’s towel charm business, we do learn of the wonders of their relationship. For example, when Trump won the election in 2016, Mike was so thrilled that he reached for the loving embrace of Mother, but she sadly turned him down:

Early in the morning of Wednesday, November 9, Hillary Clinton called Donald Trump and conceded. After Trump took the call, Mike Pence leaned in to kiss Karen, but she rebuffed him. “You got what you wanted, Mike. Leave me alone.” Upstairs, at the Pence’s private suite—separate from the Trumps’—he tried again for a victory kiss, and again she told him to back off.

What a couple. Love: real!
