The news every morning is determined by spinning a very big wheel of insane scenarios, and this week it landed on—checks wheelParks and Recreation and Big Little Lies actor Adam Scott getting into it with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Here’s what happened:

Earlier this week, a correspondent for the Hill tweeted that President Trump promised to fill a Supreme Court vacancy in 2020, despite Republicans previously blocking President Obama’s attempt to do the same thing in 2016. This was a plan that was fully orchestrated and executed by McConnell, a nihilist in a turtle mask. In response, McConnell’s social media team tweeted a GIF of Scott’s character from Parks and Recreation winking—obviously approving of Trump’s decision.

Two days later, an unamused Scott told McConnell and his staff to refrain from using his image “in support of anything but your own stunning & humiliating defeat”:

In response, whoever runs McConnell’s Twitter account replied with another image of Scott from Parks and Recreation:

To which Scott replied with this charming photo of McConnell in front of a Confederate flag:

McConnell’s account went quiet after that, returning to posting bad memes and corny content that tries and fails to depict McConnell as a feisty politician loved by the youths.

If this trend continues, expect Ted Cruz and Retta to find themselves in Twitter beef next.
