Dr. Jill Biden offered a less than inspiring pitch while campaigning for her husband, Joe Biden, in Manchester, New Hampshire on Monday. A video released by NBC News shows the former second lady telling a group of educators that while they may prefer other candidates, theirs may not have the electability edge that people are erroneously convinced only Biden possesses.

“Your candidate might be better on, I don’t know, health care than Joe is, but you’ve got to look at who’s going to win this election,” Biden said. “And maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say, ‘O.K., I sort of personally like so-and-so better,’ but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat Trump.”

It’s a sad pitch, but it’s a pitch that has worked... for a while.

Biden has dominated the Democratic field thus far, but as the New York Times reports, “he has seen his leads in Iowa and New Hampshire slide in some surveys, and his overall favorability rating has dipped as a presidential candidate.” And though a recent string of gaffes may not have had a major hit on his numbers, accidentally likening black kids to poor kids couldn’t have helped. Polls indicate that Senator Elizabeth Warren is now chipping away at the Biden’s electability buffer, so if the “please vote for my uninspiring husband” rhetoric increases twofold over the next few months, we’ll know that Biden’s electability factor—the only thing really going for him—might soon be DOA.

I mean, what she’s saying is 100% true. This whole, “I need someone who agrees with 100% of my own thoughts and beliefs and who INSPIIIIIRES me” is ridiculous.

It’s time to be an adult - nothing is ever perfect.

Stop looking for someone who’s going to inspire you and passes your purity test. Look for someone who has the best chance of winning and won’t take away rights from millions of Americans and make a mockery of himself on Twitter.

Whether it’s Biden, Harris, whoever, promote them and vote for them. As much as you may hate it, most if this country is not as far left as you. If you want to win, you need to appeal to those people.

Which horse has the best chance to swing states that Trump won? That’s the only thing that matters. Nothing else does.

Otherwise, don’t complain when you have another 4 years of Trump.

In some ways, I think many on here actually enjoy Trump in office, because it allows them to be outraged every day. And if you can’t talk about how virtuous you are on the internet, what’s left?
