On Friday’s edition of Outnumbered, the reliably colorful Jezebel superfan Andrea Tantaros compared Hillary Clinton to a horse on her way to a glue factory.
“She’s not a likable candidate and she’s a bad candidate,” Tantaros said during a discussion about why Clinton is struggling to find footing against old Bernie Sanders.
“It’s not a coincidence, Harris, people are making the comparison that she’s a thoroughbred horse who can’t get over the line. She’s on her way to the glue factory in a real way.”
“It’s true, it’s true,” she said over the objecting cries of her colleagues.
“I didn’t make the horse analysis. It wasn’t me. Somebody else did. Just a metaphor. Calm down.”

DISCUSSION
I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or congrats on a burn. Either way, as one who still hopes Clinton gets the nomination, it’s a bummer.
FTR, yes, I know that Clinton is problematic. And frankly my politics do align more closely with Sanders. But, fucking hell, I’m 40 years old and I want a woman president. Is she the perfect candidate? No. She is a strong candidate though, especially when it comes to reproductive rights and gun control, my top two issues. (Yes, I know Sanders also has strong records in these areas. Not as strong as hers though. And again, I’m ok with voting gender here. She’s a Democratic candidate and I WANT A WOMAN PRESIDENT.)
As a fellow commenter noted a week or so ago, I feel like it’s her turn. I’ll happily vote for Sanders in 2024!
