Conservative talk show host and Trump toady Sean Hannity interviewed Ted Cruz, actual toad, on Tuesday prior to Cruz’s thundering loss against Trump and Ben Carson. Despite the fact that they share a loosening jawline and sense of disdain for most of humanity, the pair did not see eye to eye.

“You are in a process of talking to delegates, and it seems to be very extensive,” Hannity said, nudging Cruz to explain his plan for a contested convention.

“Sean, with all respect, that’s not what people are concerned about, I’m campaigning every day,” Cruz said, adding that “the media loves to obsess about the process.”

Hannity interrupted. “Senator, I’m on social media with millions of people,” he said. “I am telling you that people are telling me that they find this whole process confusing,” adding that people want to know what happened in Georgia—“It’s more than a process question, it’s an integrity of the election question, and everybody’s asking me this question, so I’m giving you an opportunity to explain it!”

“Sean, the only people asking this question are the hardcore Donald Trump supporters—” Cruz started. Hannity blew his remaining gasket.

“Why do you do this, every single time I—no, you gotta stop! Every time I have you on the air, and I ask a legitimate question, you try to throw this in my face and I’m gettin’ sick of it!”

Cruz launched into a terse response, ending with “If you lose, don’t cry about it, learn how to win an election!”

“Senator, I don’t know why you’re mad,” Hannity said later on, as the pair continued to interrupt each other. “I’m asking, I’m just trying to understand it. I’m really having a hard time understanding why you’re getting angry at this.”

“Sean, let me be clear, I’m not mad at all,” Cruz replied softly.
