Many of us watched last night’s debate and saw rancid Halloween Oreo filling inching across the stage, grumbling and sniffling and yelling about emails. Nigel Farage saw something more... stirring, it seems like?

Farage, Great Britain’s former UKIP leader, has stepped down from British politics after lightheartedly ruining the country. He’s made a number of appearances in support of Trump; they’ve been a little stupid, but not actively disturbing. Until now.

BuzzFeed editor Ben Smith talked to him after the debate, where Farage likened Trump to a “silverback gorilla:”

“He looked like a big gorilla prowling the set. He is that big alpha male — that’s who he is, that’s who he is,” Farage said. “We all have comparisons to animals or whatever it may be, but that’s how he seems to me. The leader of the pack, that’s what he’s like.”

Farage wasn’t sure what Clinton’s animal would be: “I haven’t worked that out yet.” His mind is clearly elsewhere.

A bonus at the end of this clip is a woman reporter asking, as indeed we all are: “Sir, can I just ask: what are you doing here?”

Yes. What is going on here, besides my breakfast rushing back up my esophagus to greet me anew?
